Prokonekt to merge with Mc Comp

Prokonekt, the company belonging to B3System, operating in the field of IT security systems, will acquire a 100% stake in Mc Comp, a producer of software for petrol station chains, according to Parkiet.Thanks to the merger, both companies are expected to generate around PLN 20m (€4.9m) of sales revenues and PLN 3m (€0.7m) of net profit in 2010. After the finalisation of the transaction, Prokonekt also plans to debut on the NewConnect alternative stock market.
In 2009, Mc Comp posted PLN 6m (€1.5m) of sales revenues and PLN 2.5m (€0.6m) of net profit. In turn, Prokonekt showed PLN 12m (€2.9m) of sales revenues and PLN 0.7m (€0.2m) of net profit. The latter company’s profitability is lower than that of Mc Comp due to the high competitiveness on the HoReCa market, for which Prokonekt provides IT solutions. Thanks to the merger, Prokonekt will strengthen its position against its main rival LSI Software, the producer of software for the retail and HoReCa segments.
