Russian PC assemblers lose market share

About 2.23 million PC computers were imported to Russia in Q2 2010, a 67.1% increase in comparison to the same period last year, according to
market research published by IDC. The top five market players are
Acer Group,
ASUS,
HP,
Samsung and
Lenovo. Market share taken by local Russian PC assemblers was 80.5% in Q2, a 4% drop year on year. The sales of laptops doubled to 1.37 million units in Q2 with Acer Group and ASUS leading the top five companies on the list.
