Russian retail: time to expand - May 2008

While more and more retailers establish themselves on the rapidly growing Russian retail market, those already there, after a period of adjusting to local needs and business specificity, are no longer merely striving to survive but are starting to dynamically grow their chains. The trend has gained momentum in the largest agglomerations, and retailers now dare to look beyond. More and more companies, both domestic and foreign, are beginning to explore the regions. At the same time new entrants are continuously stepping into Russia.
