The total value of tenders in IT sector rose by ca. 30% in Q1 2017 when compared to Q1 2016, according to Pressinfo.pl. In Q1 2017, 2,483 tendersdirectly related to the IT industry were settled, over a half of them in January. Their overall value reached PLN 1.28bn (€300.6m). It means a growth compared to Q1 2016 when the value of 2,907 procurements amounted to PLN 984m (€231.9m). However, it is worth mentioning that the most expensive tender in this period belonged to the Mint of Poland (which is not strictly an IT company), which will distribute public transport tickets in Wroclaw. A company which won the largest number of tenders (50) was Progress Computer Systems. Over one third of IT tenders took place in Mazovia voivodship. Furthermore, the highest total value of tenders, amounting to over PLN 786.6m (€185.2m), was also observed there.
